We are very excited to be partnering with CIPD to deliver a virtual panel event on Thursday 22nd June at 1pm. The event will focus on “Transforming Organisational Culture” and features guest panellists Alice Stephenson, Founder & CEO at Stephenson Law, Arjen Cooper-Rolfe, CEO at Involvement, Becky Norman, Editor of online HR and L&D publications HRZone.com and TrainingZone.co.uk and Tiggy Robinson, Partner at Nine Feet Tall.
Healthy organisational culture matters. Not just for retaining and recruiting employees, but also in terms of the work delivered across the organisation. In fact, Forbes reported “highly engaged teams show 21% greater profitability” making their organisations more competitive and efficient. Moreover, employees who feel their voice is heard are 4.6 times more likely to feel empowered to perform their best work.
There have been many stories in the news recently about the impact of toxic culture and the knock-on effect it can have on employees, stakeholders as well as sales and customer retention. So how can organisations address issues relating to culture? Where should the transformation begin? Join Nine Feet Tall and our guests as they address these questions.
The discussions will include:
- Links between culture and organisational performance
- Aligning strategy and purpose
- Embracing Agile working practices
- What it means to have a truly flexible working structure
- Why trust is the basis for high performing teams
- Improving employee experience by empowering teams
- Organisational culture and the role of HR
- Where to start on the transformation journey
You can book and find more information here.
About the panellists
Alice Stephenson is the CEO and founder of Stephenson Law, an award-winning legal services provider challenging the old-guard of the legal profession. Working tirelessly to platform the human side of law, Alice is a entrepreneur amidst an archaic industry, on a mission to reinvigorate the profession.
Through her business, Alice empowers lawyers once constrained by their industry to approach their career with creativity, ingenuity, and innovation. The ‘Boutique Law Firm of the Year 2020’ has grown from a team of 1 to nearly 40 in under 5 years and shows no signs of slowing down. Alice is determined to show the profession what a modern law firm, and human lawyer, looks like.
Arjen Cooper-Rolfe is CEO of Involvement. Arjen Cooper-Rolfe graduated from Bristol University and then City University Business School. He spent 12 years as a Chartered Surveyor in Central London before taking over as CEO of packaging-supply business Involvement in 2011 following the deaths of his close family.
Under Arjen’s watch, Involvement has radically transformed from a traditional half-century-old family concern in the Midlands into the pre-eminent business of its kind, continually pushing the sector forward.
Now diversified into Fulfilment and IT for partner brands, and with more extensions on the launch pad, Involvement is one of Britain’s most progressive companies in its approach to people, inclusion and customer service, with a groaning sideboard of awards and independent accolades to prove it, culminating in being named Employer of the Year in the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.
Arjen says: “Together, we’ve transformed this business over the past decade by recognising that it’s not about the product, it’s about the people.”
His patent lawyer wife is currently retraining to become a teacher. They have two children.
